LAS PLANTAS QUE ME ACOMPANAN / THE PLANTS THAT ACCOMPANY ME

Exhibition Dates: July 27 - August 10, 2024

Inspired by the concept of botanical wisdom, or knowledge about plants that is passed down from one generation to the next, this installation is composed of two parts. The first is a display of potato starch wafers containing various herbs, such as lavender, dill, arnica, and chamomile. The second, a three-channel video installation and ASMR-style audio piece of the artist’s voice repeating “sana sana, colita de rana. lo que no sana hoy sanará mañana.”

Together, these works invite the public to take a quiet moment and reflect on our own relationships with plants to find solace in a shared wisdom about the natural world.
