Have you been by the new Ani’s Day & Night yet? One of my favorite spots in Austin, I’m proud to be exhibiting my work through October 15 in this historical Victorian home turned Fast Freddy’s Hair Salon turned Ani’s Day & Night! As a a community-oriented coffee shop and bar for neighbors old and new, regulars and visitors, and beverage drinkers of all kinds, Ani’s honors the roots of the home and pays homage to its original owner, Aniceta “Cheta” Limon. Her son and current property owner, Freddy L Fernandez recalls his mother’s excellent cooking, her love of throwing parties, and her entrepreneurial spirit. Now, my friend Rachael Garbowski continues to bring people together for creative cocktails and delicious food.
